David, I’m simply relating the truth of what I’m experiencing interacting with hundreds of gay white men on line who are throwing FITS over GOAL being told they may not march in Pride in uniform while the racist NYPD brutalizes queer people of color. I will ALWAYS speak the truth no matter who doesn’t like it. PERIOD.

GOAL cops are not oppressed because they’re cops. Cops are privileged in the extreme awarded the literal power of taking life. They do it often and arrange things in the US (and especially in NYC) so they can do so with impunity.

The queer people of color who now lead almost all NYC LGBTQ advocacy organizations have decided the NYPD is to pervasively racist and brutal to take part in Pride. It’s time to be quiet and believe that they has people of color know what they’re doing. As former NYC civil rights commissioner Andy Humm mentioned on Facebook last night, if the hoards of gay white men outraged about the GOAL decision displayed a sliver of the same energy working for the equality of marginalized queer people, maybe we’d be getting somewhere.

GOAL has been offered the opportunity to participate in any HOP Pride event with banners and signs but without guns or uniforms. They refused. So now they can sit the hell down and shut the fuck up. They’ve shown us who they are.
