Data show pretty conclusively that transgender people who socially or medically transition lead far healthier, happier lives than transgender people who do not.

Transgender people make up a very small proportion of the population, less than 2%, so all this hate floating around now –including this ridiculous, ignorant article in the Christian Post– feels like hysteria, like a scare-mongering panic.

Ironically, I'm about done working on an article now about suicide among LGBTQ teens. That's real. It's happening, and the numbers are increasing pretty damn fast.

Much of the increase owes to irresponsible, counterfactual, hateful stories like this one in the Christian Post.
