Dad and I put up some specialized pileated woodpecker feeders on three of our trees a few years ago, and I now get regular visits. Often, a pair visit at the same time. I’ve managed to get some spectacular photos. If you’re interested, look for feeders with the tail rest included, because they seem to really work.
