Cool micro label!

Did you know the prefix cupio seems to be what the Roman love god Cupid took his name from? :-) I just had to look the word origin up yesterday while editing, intrigued by the similarity of the prefix and the word "kewpie doll." Was there a connection? Yes! The kewpie doll takes its name from Cupid, who took his name from the prefix.

It's interesting that the original sense of the word means to boil up or to steam, implying a pretty intense reaction.

It would be interesting to know if the people who coined "cupiosexual" took the Cupid sense into account or if they relied solely on the Latin prefix, which doesn't make a lot of other appearances in English.
