I don’t know if Biden was motivated by LGBTQ anger about BBC News, but I know he’s been made aware of concerns.

When the BBC announced that reporting staff would not be allowed to attend “controversial” Pride marches, American LGBTQ people erupted in fury.

We are accustomed to experiencing the BBC as not only a trustworthy news source, but one that like our NPR and PBS resists political pressure.

We were stunned to be shown this very concrete example of just how homophobic and transphobic the new British government is.

If the BBC can be forced do this, then Johnson is capable of just about any evil imaginable. To Americans who haven’t been paying attention to just how thoroughly awful the UK PM is, that came as a shock.
