Congratulations. 🎉 I'm so glad to hear that!

Egypt was one of the first adventures of my heedless youth, during an ill-advised a trip that included Lebanon during a fairly warlike part of the country's history.

Beirut astounded me in so many ways, but Egypt ... Oh, my!

I wish I had been a good photographer like you. I'd loved to have captured some of those rich, seemingly impossible colors. I would gaze out over the Nile and imagine Hadrian and Antinous enjoying a hot afternoon on shaded barge, floating into a romantic idyll. Amid all that romantic, impossible color.
