Coincidentally, yours is the first story I've read after just publishing a piece about a conservative Christian pastor in Ohio managing to cancel the local public high school student-performance of "She Kills Monsters," one of the most popular high school / college plays being performed in the United States today.
The pastor complained that the play, which is wholesome and largely non-controversial, offends his Biblical worldview because of sexual "innuendo" and dialogue in which somebody "takes the name of the Lord in vain."
That pastor did not explain why he did not simply counsel his congregation not to attend the play. He has to know his extremist religious views are shared my only a minority of his neighbors, but he insisted on enforcing them anyway.
Talk about fragile!
