Coincidentally, I'm reading this right after finishing up with morning moderating chores at a couple Facebook LGBTQ groups. I noticed that some random person had left messages under several posts: "Loving those who sin is not true love."

Clearly, whoever left those messages is not a theologian or a clergy member either. I don't think even the most conservative Evangelical pastor would rip his mask off quite that far. It's interesting, though, that someone would be so explicit about that sentiment, and would be motivated to seek out gatherings of queer people to give the message to.

I'm thinking about Pensacola Christian College canceling The King's Singers on two-hour notice last week, disappointing 5,000 people who had bought tickets to hear a sacred choral music concert.

PCC cancelled after a student alerted administration that one member of the award-winning group is gay.

What would Jesus do? Not that. But this is where we are right now, despite whatever glitzy Superbowl ad somebody buys.
