Coincidentally, I was just watching a YouTube video by a family in Alaska who have a channel called "How to Alaska." The episode I just watched is the family going to some beach in May somewhere on the Ketchikan peninsula, to catch and cook halibut. But first they had to put on a wetsuits and wade out into icy water (in the rain) at a different beach to catch little fish called hooligan for bait.

Then they fished and froze (in the rain) for 2 days, sleeping in a tent at night, catching one sole, and then a skate which they threw back, which I kind of hated them for because I love skate. They finally caught a large halibut and fried it up right there on the beach and it looked absolutely delicious.

So it was exactly like being on a luxury cruise ship, um ... Because of all the water, rain and mountains. Minus the wrapped up roll.

But I think they live in one of those houses way up those stair-step streets.

The fried halibut look good, though.

P.S. Any fishermen reading this who feel like throwing skate away, please consider shipping it to Michigan instead. 😂
