Coincidentally, I just came from reading an article in Pink News about a 14 year old school boy in Ireland who was savagely beaten and lost two teeth – the attack having been perpetrated by a gang of teenagers who stalked him on his way home from school calling him a poof and a queer.

Ireland isn't part of the UK, of course, but the boy's family blame political rhetoric from all over the British Isles for inflaming hatred of trans and gay people.

They released video to social media of the beating. Maybe that will help raise awareness.
