"Cleaved by sin" is such a disgusting and horrifying doctrine. We gay people in particular are horrified and sick of the Catholic Church's disgusting teachings about human sexuality.

I can't imagine a less valuable resource for anyone to look into. The Church's teachings about human sexuality are vicious and cruel toward gay people.

They teach that when we gay people have loving sex with our partners, we are committing "acts of grave depravity." That horrifying hate speech encourages discrimination against us gay people, and it justifies acts of great cruelty.

The Catholic Church further teaches that we are "objectively disordered," in a sickening bit of philosophical horseshit that encourages people to look at us as diseased.

The Catholic Church is responsible for an enormous amount of suffering among people whose gender and sexual orientation are in the minority.

There's only one thing that I would encourage anyone to do with the Catholic Church's teachings about human sexuality: throw them in the trash.

The Church is mired in medieval, superstitious, judgmental, and hypocritical attitudes towards sexuality that oppress women, gay, and trans people.

While it's true that many Catholic lay people ignore the teachings of the Church on these matters, Catholic leadership certainly does not.

Where I live in Michigan, two bishops have definitively barred married gay people from receiving any sacrament of the Church. And that includes burial!

This is not an anomaly. It happens all over the United States and the world.

Why? Because those bishops are actually enforcing the Church's teachings on human sexuality. And those teachings are sick, cruel, ignorant, evil, and disgusting.

It's hard to imagine how you could read an article that's supportive of gay people, and then comment underneath that we should adhere to the Catholic Church's depraved teachings.

I will tell you this. The Catholic Church is our enemy, and we're doing everything we can to expose its depravity.

P.S. on your recommendation, I've googled Robert Barron. I wish I hadn't had to immerse myself in his shit. What a vicious homophobic pig he is!
