Clearly, Shapiro isn't interested in real science about transgender people and issues, but then I don't suppose an interest in science was ever his true motivation.

Appealing to science sounds good, and people respond well to it. Say something loud enough and often enough and people believe you. Isn't that the Republican playbook?
