We see the same sort of phenomenon here with the Log Cabin Republican group. They’re a group of gay Republicans, mostly white men, who say they are working for inclusivity in the Republican Party. The group is overtly and unapologetically transphobic. They even support some discrimination against gay people. Has any of that gotten them anywhere? Well, Texas won’t even let them have a booth at the state party convention.
