How apt and poetic. I live in Michigan, surrounded by the five Great Lakes, vast inland seas that were, astonishingly, carved out by glaciers during the last ice age. Flying over one of the Great Lakes, water in every direction as far as the eye can see, the idea that it took a goddess to do the carving is not far fetched.
