But many don't, and they are still welcome in Anglican Church of Canada. Any statement about LGBTQ rights by the Anglican Church of Canada must (morally speaking) recognize that the Church as an institution tolerates and shelters vicious homophobic bigots who stigmatize and discriminate against LGBTQ people. The statement above does not do that. It glosses over the Church's bigotry problem and comes off, in consequence, as hypocritical and self righteous.
