Big Reveal in ‘David and the Lion’s Den!’

After David is charged with murder and gets released on bail, he moves in with Hilda and falls into a deep depression, drinking up her Schnapps and going for days without showers. Mistress Carla comes over to shock him out of his lethargy. And wow, does she ever!

Author’s Notes:

My friend Hilda really did live just off Washington Square, not far from Eleanor Roosevelt’s building. The square will continue to feature a bit in the story, given it was one of my favorite places in the Village. It’s quite the New York institution, acting as a sort of common green for NYU students, a public speaking venue for every passing activist, a famous spot for combat chess, and an open-air marijuana market. It’s also quite beautiful!
