Believe it or not, milk is under-priced in the continental US. Certain federal agriculture policies favor enormous industrial dairy operations. Corporate milk.

It’s so bad that family farmers cannot raise dairy cattle without losing money. Milk is commodatized and sold at auction, with huge corporations squeezing out anyone who can’t make it on a small margin.

Yes, milk is cheaper as a result, but it’s also full of antibiotics, the product of cows who live in unhealthy conditions. Some say it also doesn’t taste as good.

I don’t know. I don’t much care for milk.

But I bet your milk is better, even if it’s more expensive.
