Being a gay man not in the least bit physically attracted to women, the whole breast thing mystifies me sometimes, but I do understand how the objectification is awful.

I wonder how much of it is upheld by making breasts taboo. I know human cultures have existed in which breasts were not seen as particularly erotic. And in those cultures, a breast nudity taboo has generally not been very strong.

Does our practice of routinely hiding breasts except when eroticizing them make the problem worse and not better?
