This is actually one of the reasons I left Christianity when I was 16. Because this kind of stupid prayer (the likes of which I encountered all the time) was something even a teenager knows is nonsensical. I realized all the Christian adults around me were just ignorant, stupid fools.

Now, combine that with arrogant moral judgmentalism, and you clearly see why right-wing Christians are such foul, disgusting people.
