Based on your photos, Flushing resembles the old Chinatown in lower Manhattan before it became a big tourist attraction. Not that there's anything wrong with being a tourist attraction. Unless you live in one. Lol

(Speaking as a person who lives in a "charming" region of Michigan where wealthy tourists build summer cottages and flock to on vacation. I think we feel a lot less charm than they do.)
