Awesome! I did AIDS education planning and street theater with Act Up in the 1990s, and we would have loved to use those Dick Safety comics.

We produced a lot of cool and sexy educational material, but I don’t think any of it was as cool as this.

Can you imagine the impact if various government entities had been all in helping out with education instead of restricting it? That could have made such a big difference.

I mean, we raised plenty of money and had pretty decent art budgets, but we couldn’t come close to the resources of the federal and New York State health departments. They were paralyzed by anti-sex regulations and were unable to get the right information to the people most at risk.
