"At 45 years old, I have never, ever had a partner who was open to an emotional exchange during sex."

I am devastatingly sorry about that. The transcendent joy of an emotionally connected intimate sexual experience is so powerful. Looking into your partner's eyes and murmuring heartfelt words of love and connection ... that's just ... it's for me almost the total reason to have sex with somebody I love.

Otherwise, my right hand works just fine.

I'm not saying sex is always like that in a loving partnership. Sometimes you're tired or stressed or just not emotionally connected enough in the moment. But I can't imagine it not being like that at least sometimes.

But then I'm an overemotional, effeminate drama queen, or so I'm told. What the hell? I'll take it!

Here's to you and finding a man as much into you as himself.
