Aside from "City and the Pillar" (obviously) and Vidal's blockbuster historical novels, I don't really know his work. Of his inventions novels, I've only read "Live from Golgotha," which I found to be funny, fascinating, and deeply insightful of media dysfunction. It sounds like I need to read more of his "inventions" novels, and I'm very glad that you took the time to write such an intriguing overview of his more forgotten works. Thank you!
