As an LGBTQ advocate and writer, I feel stifled by Facebook. I often find myself censored for speech that it is describing and objecting to bigotry rather than supporting or encouraging it. It’s a big problem. Many of my fellow writers experience it too. We can’t write about issues of real social importance because Facebook relies on unreliable machines to police its platforms.

The only way to survive the robot gauntlet is to be peachy and pleasant and positive all the time. I think that’s insidious.
