As an example of effective direct action, in Act Up in the mid 1990s, we often took our protests against uaffordable drug prices directly to the homes of the CEOs and senior managers of pharmaceutical companies.
If they were going to price life-saving medication beyond the reach of desperate people, then we were going to make sure their families and neighbors knew what they were doing.
The tactic proved very effective in some cases.
