As an atheist, I've never seen anything approaching evidence for the existence of divinity, but I do hear you loud and clear. It's my experience also that queer events are so open, joyful, and accepting.

That just smacked me in the heart that my first pride event in New York City in 1990. With the streets thronged with queer people, the air just vibrated with love, acceptance, and positivity.

Soon learns that that was common anywhere queer people gathered, and that was during the very height of the AIDS crisis!

I often wonder about those who so vociferously oppose the existence, inhererent dignity, and freedoms of queer people. THEIR existence centers around hurting other people, restricting joy, forcing conformity.

How sad their lives must be in comparison to ours!
