As a matter of fact, Pink News is reporting that the Taliban, shortly after entering Kabul, grabbed one member of an openly gay couple, drove him outside the city, executed him, then brought him back to the city and chopped him to pieces as a warning to what is going to happen to gay people in Afghanistan.

The other member of the couple is in hiding, pleading with UK authorities to help him leave the country. They have reportedly denied his request.

Homosexuality was already illegal in Afghanistan but was somewhat well tolerated if people were discreet. But every indication now is that the Taliban is going to be proactively seeking out gay people for what can only be described as barbaric torture and death.

I’m kind of sad that as often as people talk about what women are facing in Afghanistan, almost nobody mentions the terror that LGBTQ people there are experiencing right now.

Too many liberals in the United States reflexively oppose imperialism, to the extent that they will tolerate far greater evil. And the innocent suffer.
