As a gay man who reads relatively fluffy, trope-driven gay romances sometimes, I say, "hear hear!"

I read them because they relax me and give me pleasure. They fill me with a sort of spiritual sense of wellbeing, besides sometimes stimulating an erotic vibe.

I'm not a big porn fan, I guess because I'm not a tremendously visual person, and I'm glad to see an expert talk about audio in porn. If I do watch porn, I feel the most pleasure when the audio sounds intimate and authentic.

I particular appreciate the message that we SHOULD seek to feel pleasure sometimes. I really dislike the notion that avoiding pleasure is virtuous. A healthy, balanced life (in my view) must include unashamed pleasure.
