As a gay man from a conservative Christian family, I follow this kind of news with great attention. I've written about Welby and his monstrous homophobia many times. I think he's one of the most vicious religious homophobes on the globe.

Along with many queer people, I gasped in shock when Welby announced to the world last year that we're sinners because we're queer and that in his Church's estimation that will never change.

I mean, that really put a fine point on the matter, didn't it? He told us exactly who we are to him. He spit on us.

And that was after he refused to allow the same-sex married partners of US Canadian bishops attend the Lambeth conference where he made that filthy announcement.

I grew up with Christianity, and while I rejected it because of the judgmental horror I experienced inside it, I certainly remember the teachings of Jesus. I remember his commands to love. I remember his example of treating the other as the neighbor. I imagine that if Jesus were to meet Welby, he'd have some very angry words for Welby's disgusting behavior and beliefs.

I wish I could meet Welby so I could explain to him in excruciating detail what a vicious pig he is, how we queer people are sick and tired about judgmental Christian creeps like him.

No wonder the Church is shrinking. Decent people don't want anything to do with homophobic demons like Welby.

In my opinion, the Episcopal Church in the United States and the Anglican Church in Canada should withdraw from the global Anglican community. Anglicans here in North America are generally good and decent people. Obviously, in the UK, led by monsters like Welby, Anglicans are very very different kinds of people from how they are here.

I think Jesus said something about shaking the dust off sandals and not looking back. I believe North American Anglicans should take his advice on that matter.
