Apparently they think they can. I've had private conversations about these matters with Christians, who often veer off into completely unrelated territory about what might happen if member churches of the Anglican Communion decided to leave the Communion – as if that sort of institutional concern had anything to do with being Christian or following the teachings of Jesus. To them, that sort of mundane concern is of critical importance, while to me, it's so morally unrelated I can't understand why they're even bringing it up.
