When I see all those Trump signs, I know I'm hearing my neighbors express how much they hate people like you and me. How invested they are in forcing women to give birth against their will. How intent they are to treat immigrants and refugees like animals. How much they insist on turning us into a nation bristling with private arms, where school children fear to go to their classes.
I shiver in fear and despair, understanding the human capacity for great evil.
I'm encouraged, though, by indications people are going to turn out in force to vote against Trump. It's looking like it might happen.
