And just imagine if you were a same-sex couple. Can't hide that! And speaking of wrong desks, my former partner and I had terrible problems with US immigration in the early 2000s. He was an Australian, we couldn't be married yet legally, and one immigration agent was so hostile to gay people that he actually told my partner that he needed to find Jesus.
