And isn't there something to that old, "Two wrongs don't make a right" adage?

Yes, Biden lies sometimes.

At the very beginning of his presidential administration, I called him out for lying in an op-ed that made the front cover of the Washington Blade. My editor told me the White House press office was furious and called him to yell at him.

The details don't matter much, but they were about Biden breaking a campaign promise to make the Equality Act one of his administration's top priorities from day one.

But even before he took office, he told LGBTQ activists that he would not actually do that.

So I called him on his untruthfulness.

Isn't that we're supposed to do? Hold politicians accountable when they break their word or when they're untruthful?

So this opinion writer seems to be saying that since one politician has lied a few times, we shouldn't call out other politicians for lying. Since Trump lies practically every time he opens his mouth, and I'm only being slightly hyperbolic, I don't pretend I can understand this point of view.

How does that even work? We say, "Oh well, that's just how the system is. You can't fight it."?

Doesn't make any sense to me!
