I hope that your noble example and dialogue can help hold their feet to the fire, keeping the pressure on them to change doctrines that not only stigmatize us, but in practice cause harm.

I’m thinking not only of the staff at Misericordia, of course, but of the residents.

Ironic that Miséricorde means mercy, isn’t it, when the “mercy” the Church consistently applies to us queer people is to erase us and oppress us?
