Amen to that.

By the way, if you’d like a quick tip, if you have an Android phone you can find it by using the “find my phone" Google function if you log in to the same account on a computer that your phone is logged into. Your phone will loudly sound an alarm whether you have it on silent or not. Usually, when I do that, I find the phone has been within a few feet of me all along.

I’m so absent-minded, I once lost my truck instead of my keys. A few years ago, I walked from my apartment to my building’s large parking garage and could not find my truck in its usual spot. I presumed I had forgotten that I had parked somewhere else, so searched the entire garage level by level. Nowhere to be found. And it’s pretty hard to miss a big Ford F-250.

Then lightning struck ,and I rushed to the parking lot of a small convenience store two blocks from my building.

I had stopped for bread and milk on the way home from work, then absent-mindedly walked home, because I rarely ever drove to that store. Walking was my usual habit, and my body took over when I walked out with my purchases.

I was relieved that my truck had survived the night in the store parking lot without any problems. My coworkers teased me relentlessly about why I was late to work. ;-)
