This graphic alludes to the LDS Church and its horrifying “November Policy,” which is ripping families apart

Amen, Sister! You’re the kind of Christian I stand shoulder to shoulder with! You know, it’s really not hard at all. Reject evil. Reject stigmatization of LGBTQ people. Stop labeling us. Don’t EVER call us sinners.

The piece-of-shit Mormon who inspired me to write this story is still defending his Church, still blathering on in full Orwellian funk, still making excuses and indulging in personal moral complicity.

And yet …

The Mormon Church continues right to this very second to officially, viciously, and horribly work to oppress us LGBTQ people — to the point of splitting families up. The LDS Church is tremendously evil. It’s a foul, filthy organization dedicated to hurting us.

The level of evil is flabbergasting and disgusting in its blatant severity. Read the article I linked to in the preceding paragraph and then scroll down to the comments section to read what Mormons in good standing have to say about us LGBTQ people. But keep a barf bag handy, because you’ll need it. If you’re anything like me, you’ll need a Valium too.

The moral issues here are crystal clear.

You cannot be a good person if you believe that LGBTQ people are sinners because they have sex with their partners. That idea is the quintessence of stigmatization. It’s the incarnation of othering. It’s obnoxious. It’s vile.

People who believe that are vile and awful people, and we must fight them tooth and nail. I don’t know why people have such a hard time with this simple issue.

All we’re demanding is full equality with other human beings. All we’re demanding is that people stop claiming we are immoral. To a truly loving person, that is so easy. So very, very easy.

The people (like the Mormon I’m talking about) who will not renounce hateful beliefs are by definition hateful, disgusting people.

Love must conquer hate! It must!
