Amen. I live in rural Michigan where people get almost all their news on TV from Fox, and where people take Tucker Carlson very seriously indeed.

Sitting in a local restaurant last night, I listened to a couple mocking people wearing masks, even though restaurant policy and state regulation requires them to when they aren’t at their table.

Anti-masking sentiment out here is very strong, very politicized, and very much due to Fox and Fox personalities like Tucker Carlson.

I’m very careful to wear a mask when I’m running errands, but I get dirty looks for it. I can well imagine that others feel intimidated or terrorized enough not to.
