Amen! I have been an LGBTQ activist since 1990. Once upon a time, tolerance looked like a worthwhile goal. But we are so past that, for so many of the reasons that you clearly articulate.

We aren’t begging to be tolerated, we’re sitting down at the table and telling people that we are fully equal to them, whether they like it or not.

We’re demanding how are human and civil rights, as full members of the human family.

Tolerance has nothing to do with it.
