Amen!

Of course the US was founded on violent insurrection. How can we forget that? Or that Jefferson figured we’d have to do it again from time to time?

As a gay man, I can’t help but remember that the Stonewall riots (three nights of violent rioting!) sparked a fire that led to the beginnings of equality.

Nonviolence is wonderful and good. But so is anger. When riots are a force for positive change, who am I to say they’re wrong?
