Amen and Amen, I say with more than a touch of irony. The self-righteous, hypocritical men who rule Roman Catholic and Evangelical Protestant churches would do well to hear you. I don't suppose they will. Why would they want to change anything about a world that elevates them and other cis/straight Christian men to positions of high privilege?

But women and queer people can hear you. May the pews continue to empty out. May preachers and priests find themselves pontificating to no one but a few old men like themselves, yearning for the "good old days" when the subservient served without complaint.
