Peope with no technical or artistic training are using tools like Stable Diffusion to create images, based entirely on their own imagination, of recognizable people. (The software has many other uses, but it didn't take long for people to figure out this one.)

The results aren't always great, but sometimes they're so convincing it's scary. And convincing results are even easier to achieve than with video.

It's a brave new world.
