Also, it's probably worth bringing up that the UK today is continuing to exploit Africa, particularly with respect to pressing Rwanda, one of the poorest nations on Earth, to accept vast numbers of refugees who have made it to the UK but whom the current leaders of the UK wish to deport.

Nobody in their right mind thinks this is going to help Rwanda. It's just the Tory government treating refugees like shit, and using a desperately poor African country to do it.
