All sorts of work is exploitative. Desperate people take minimum wage jobs all the time working in brutal conditions that harm their health. Because they're desperate.

If people want to help desperate, exploited workers they'll push for better working conditions and better pay.

The only thing you do when you keep sex work stigmatized or criminalized is make pushing for better wages and conditions impossible.
