All I can say as a cis gay man with tons of trans friends is, "Brava!"

I don't understand this cis rage that manifests so often and so strongly in TERFs, but you have only to peek into their spaces briefly to see it. I get so upset over the disingenuity of media like the Guardian and the BBC who pretend that they don't see it, who present "gender criticals" as people who merely possess different ideology than trans people and trans allies.

To do that, they have to pointedly and consciously overlook the enraged elephant bursting out of the room.

Public intellectuals in the UK seem to have tacitly agreed to ignore that elephant. So far in US academic/liberal circles, we seem as a whole to be doing a better job. I hope that continues!

Ideologies founded in rage and hate are bankrupt from the get-go.
