Ah, pencils!

I’m an aspiring novelist. I’ve written five of them besides countless short stories and essays.

Fingers crossed, one of my novels is set to be published soon and be available in print.

I drafted each of them on lined notebook paper in pencil. For me, a pile of sharp pencils and a notebook in my lap is the ultimate stimulus.

My heart races!

I find that those older pencil sharpeners, like yours, just can’t be beat.

I know it’s a terrible cliché to say that they don’t make em like they used to.

They really, really don’t, though.

Of course, with people not having much use for pencils anymore, I suppose it doesn’t make sense to manufacture excellent pencil sharpeners.

What a shame.
