"According to the FBI, the most targeted group of people in the USA are Jews."

Although the article is disturbing and we should all be deeply troubled by it, it does not claim Jews are "the most targeted group of people in the USA." It says instead that, "Anti-Jewish bias accounted for 676 incidents — 57 percent of the 1,174 religiously motivated hate crimes in 2020."

Religiously motivated hate crimes make up only a small fraction of the total number of hate crimes -- almost 8,000-- the FBI recorded in 2020.

So, numerically, Jews make up about 1/14th of the total number of hate crimes the FBI tracked for that year, not approaching the 50% required for "most targeted."

That's still awful and unacceptable, of course.
