Absolutely! To me, as a gay man who writes about LGBTQ issues on Medium and for queer newspapers, I am very fearful and angry right now. Over the rights of transgender people, the safety queer youth, over any number of very pressing issues. I'm angry about women's rights being trampled on by religious authoritarians.
But when I express that anger, I usually get much more pushback from people on the left than from the people I'm angry at.
It's discouraging. It's like the left WANTS to lose. It's like expressing well justified anger is somehow inappropriate even though doing so would effectively engage people and get them to the polls.
Heaven forbid we should do that!
