Absolutely. Some gay men want to pretend thatthe only thing that makes us different from straight people is the gender of the people we fall in love with.

But that just isn’t true. Nobody knows for sure why this is, but a lot of gay men are flamboyant and effeminate seemingly by nature.

And plenty of us aren’t interested in heteronormative values, even if we felt we could perform well enough to fill a role.
