If the feminine were truly respected and valued, the need for feminism would probably be a lot less than it is now.

It’s funny that you should mention A Naked Civil Servant.

During the same time period I wrote about in my Homophobia is Misogyny piece, I happened to be enjoying a casual friendship with Quentin Crisp.

I’m sure that he influenced my thinking about sexual orientation and gender in ways I don’t even realize consciously.

I wrote very briefly about Quentin in one of my first posts on Medium, as a matter of fact.
