1974! I was 12 that year when streaking became a fad. I remember going to a high school football game with the family, my mom and dad joking that if any streakers took to the field at halftime, mom would cover my sister's eyes, and dad would do the same for my little brother. Since no arrangements were made to protect my sensitive sensibilities, I hoped I would be allowed to witness naked young men on the gridiron.

I was not disappointed! After the marching band left the field, a handful of guys burst onto the scene, naked as jaybirds, hooting and hollering as they ran flat out without a stitch of clothing.

I was relieved no parental hands covered my eyes, but greatly disappointed we were seated too high up in the stadium to make out any detail. Life is unfair! ;-)
